The bilateral surface electromyographic (sEMG) activity of biceps brachii, deltoid, and triceps brachii during the single-leg takedown in deaf youth freestyle wrestlers was assessed and its association with technical performance examined. A descriptive correlation design included all six Iraqi national deaf youth wrestling team wrestlers aged 18–20 yearold. A bespoke MyoWare/ESP32 setup sent sensor signals to dual-language software which stored data and calculated normalized activity scores. Since there were no documented electrode coordinates, sampling rate, digital filtering, normalization reference or number of successful trials retained per athlete in the archived protocol, these results are considered exploratory. The paired comparison utilized five degrees of freedom and the Pearson correlations used six; right biceps activity was greater than left biceps activity, t(5) = 2.84, p = .036. The differences between left and right for the deltoid and the triceps were not significant. Of the three muscles the biceps accounted for 41.3% of summed mean activity, the deltoid for 35.0% and the triceps for 23.7%. Performance correlated with the right biceps at r = .88, p = .021; other correlations did not reach .05. Scores may be interpreted as normalized sEMG activity specific to device use, not force in N. Due to the small sample and incomplete records of validation, it limits generalisation and claims of force measurement.
