Equal access to health services is one of the main pillars of health development in Indonesia. Remote areas are often characterized by a lack of infrastructure, difficult transportation access, limited health support facilities, and cultural and social challenges. This condition leads to an uneven distribution of health workers, especially specialists, general practitioners, nurses, and midwives. Health workers tend to concentrate in urban areas, leaving significant service gaps in remote areas. The purpose of this research is to identify the factors influencing the retention of health workers at the Ropang Community Health Center. This study uses a quantitative method with a cross-sectional approach. Data analysis was conducted using the chi-square test. Based on the analysis results, it was found that there is an effect of organizational commitment on health worker retention (p value=0.001), no effect of employee relationships on health worker retention (p value=0.696), and there is an effect of career opportunities on health worker retention (p value=0.016). The results of this study indicate that efforts to improve health worker retention in the Ropang District need to be carried out through strengthening organizational aspects and human resource management. Community health centers and local governments can use the findings of this research as a basis for improving the quality of work relationships, strengthening health workers' commitment to the organization, and providing clear career development opportunities. In addition, the results of the research can be a consideration in formulating policies that support the sustainability of health workers in remote areas.
