The geometric and pavement characteristics of the Lingkar Barat Road in Lubuklinggau require design verification to support safe and reliable traffic movement. This study aims to design the geometric alignment and flexible pavement structure for the 3+600–5+600 STA segment using the 1997 Bina Marga geometric design procedure and the Component Analysis method in SKBI 1987. Field traffic observations were conducted for seven days, from 3 to 9 July 2023, at two observation points, while geometric, rainfall, and subgrade data were used as design inputs. The analysis classified the road as a Class III A collector with a two-lane, two-way configuration, a 7.0 m carriageway, and 1.5 m shoulders. The average terrain gradient was 2.25%, indicating flat terrain. Stopping sight distances of 82.12 m and 127.54 m and passing sight distances of 352.72 m and 552.13 m were obtained for design speeds of 60 and 80 km/h, respectively, and exceeded the minimum values. Five horizontal curves were designed, consisting of four Spiral-Circle-Spiral curves and one Spiral-Spiral curve. For pavement design, the projected design traffic was 2,809.19 ESAL/day, with a subgrade CBR of 6% and regional factor of 1.5. The resulting pavement structure consists of a 10 cm surface course, 25 cm base course, and 25 cm subbase. The design provides a geometric and structural configuration consistent with the design criteria applied in the study and offers a practical basis for development of the road segment.
