<![CDATA[Room division operations rely on accurate and timely room information exchanged between the front office and housekeeping departments. In small hotels, this process is often supported by property management systems combined with worksheets, logbooks, telephone communication, and messaging applications. This study develops a Smart Room Division Management (SRDM) model for Nestagar Hotel Sukoharjo by analyzing operational information flows across shifts and departments. A qualitative case study was integrated with a design science approach. Data were collected from operational procedures, room-status summaries, room-master displays, room-rate information, and internal operational documents. The analysis mapped existing processes, identified information and control gaps, formulated system requirements, and evaluated the proposed model using a requirement-to-component traceability matrix. Findings revealed nine operational problems, including repeated data entry, unclear authority in room-status changes, lack of verification procedures, unstructured shift handovers, fragmented communication channels, manual supply records, overlapping roles, and absence of update-time visibility. The proposed SRDM–Nestagar model integrates a centralized room-status source, detailed room master data, digital task management, structured handover mechanisms, role-based authority, timestamped audit trails, and operational dashboards. The model is expected to improve coordination, accountability, and room readiness. Further field implementation is required to evaluate its impact on turnaround time, status accuracy, information freshness, and guest service performance.]]>
