Loading point activities in mining areas have high potential hazards and occupational accident risks due to slope conditions, the use of heavy equipment, and material loading activities. This study aims to identify hazards, assess risk levels, and determine risk control measures in the loading point area at PT Megah Bara Sejahtera, Sarolangun Regency, Jambi, using the Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC) method. The research method used was descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through field observations, interviews, and documentation. Risk assessment was carried out by determining the likelihood and severity values for each work activity in the loading point area. The results showed that there were 5 potential risks in loading point activities, consisting of 1 Extreme risk category and 4 High risk categories. The percentage of risk levels showed that 20% were included in the Extreme category and 80% were included in the High category. The main risks identified included slope failure, falling materials, slipping or overturning heavy equipment, as well as soft soil conditions and steep working areas. Risk control measures were implemented through the application of safety benches, slope condition inspections, work area supervision, the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and increased supervision of heavy equipment operations. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that loading point activities at PT Megah Bara Sejahtera have a high level of risk, therefore stricter risk control measures are needed to minimize the potential for work accidents.
