<![CDATA[This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of using Picture Series as a learning medium on Instagram in developing the narrative writing skills of eleventh-grade students at SMA Negeri 14 Gowa. The study employed a pre-experimental method using a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The sample consisted of 33 students selected through cluster random sampling. The research instrument was a narrative writing test administered before and after the treatment. The collected data were analysed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics through a paired sample t-test with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics version 26. The findings revealed a significant improvement in students' narrative writing skills after the implementation of Picture Series on Instagram. The mean score increased from 65.58 in the pre-test to 85.03 in the post-test, while the significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) was 0.000, which was lower than the significance level of 0.05. Improvements were observed in all writing components, namely content, organization, grammar, vocabulary, and mechanics, with organization showing the highest improvement. The findings indicate that Picture Series on Instagram effectively helped students generate ideas, organize events logically, and produce more coherent narrative texts. Moreover, the use of Instagram created a more engaging and motivating learning environment, encouraging students to participate actively in writing activities. Therefore, Picture Series on Instagram can be considered an effective instructional medium for teaching narrative writing in an English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classroom.]]>
