This article examines the impact of interactive teaching methods on the development of students’ oral and written communication skills in English language classes. Effective communication is one of the primary objectives of foreign language education, as learners are expected not only to understand English but also to use it confidently in academic, professional, and everyday contexts. Traditional teacher-centered approaches may provide learners with considerable knowledge of grammar and vocabulary; however, they do not always create sufficient opportunities for active communication. Interactive methods, including pair work, group work, role-play, discussions, debates, problem-solving activities, peer learning, and collaborative writing, provide learners with opportunities to use English in meaningful communicative situations. The article employs a descriptive and analytical approach to examine the pedagogical value of interactive methods in English language instruction. Particular attention is given to their influence on speaking fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary use, grammatical accuracy, writing organization, learner motivation, and communicative competence. The analysis demonstrates that interactive classroom activities can increase students’ participation, confidence, and willingness to communicate while simultaneously supporting the development of written communication skills. The article also discusses challenges associated with the implementation of interactive methods and provides pedagogical recommendations for English language teachers.
