This study aims to analyze the implementation of academic supervision based on lesson study by principals to improve the professionalism of teachers in elementary schools. A qualitative approach with the case study method is used to understand the practice of supervision in depth through interviews, observations, and documentation. Informants consisted of the principal and teachers who were directly involved in the academic supervision process. The results showed that academic supervision based on lesson study is carried out through three main stages: Planning (plan), Implementation (do), and Reflection (see). The planning stage strengthens the teacher's learning design ability; the implementation stage enhances learning and collaboration practice; the reflection stage fosters reflective ability and continuous improvement. The integration of the three stages resulted in an increase in teacher professionalism, including pedagogical competence, learning innovation, technology utilization, and classroom management. The novelty of this study lies in the incorporation of academic supervision and lesson study as a collaborative, reflective, and sustainable approach led by the principal, which previously had not been widely studied in the context of elementary schools in the era of independent curriculum.
