<![CDATA[Background: Evidence regarding the cost-effectiveness of interventions for schizophrenia can support health policy decisions, particularly in developing country like Indonesia, where healthcare resources are limited. Therefore, this study seeks to identify the most optimal treatment package for schizophrenia in mental hospital Prof.Dr.Soerojo Magelang Central Java Indonesia. Methods: ACER/ICER analysis was used to evaluate the effectiveness of antipsychotic drug. This study is an observational research with retrospective data collection from patient medical records and financial data and conducted in September-October 2024, at the Soerojo Mental Hospital, Magelang. Patient data collected included: age, gender, length of treatment, antipsychotic classification and GAF (Global Assessment of Functioning) score. Intervention costs include of direct costs including: drug costs, laboratory costs, doctor consultation costs, administration costs, treatment room costs, facility costs, medical device costs and other costs. Results: The results showed that majority of the patients are male in the age of 19-59 years old. The average length of hospitalization of schizophrenia patients who used the combination of antipsychotic olanzapine-haloperidol was 14 days with an average total cost of Rp 2.874.793, an ICER value of - Rp. 193,462 and the ACER value of Rp 28.748/day was lower than the average length of hospitalization in schizophrenia patients who used of another combination of antipsychotic. Conclusion: Based on the results of the study, the combination of olanzapine and haloperidol drugs is the most cost effective compared to other combination drug choices in hospital.]]>
