This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Moderate Character Strengthening Program in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at MTs Al-Ikhlas Air Hitam as an effort to foster students' attitudes of tolerance. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through interviews, participant observation, and documentation. It describes five flagship programs: morning congregational prayers, weekly Islamic studies, the Educational Ramadan Program, sharing activities, and the integration of moderate values into PAI, while also analyzing the supporting and inhibiting factors affecting their implementation. The findings indicate that the integration of wasathiyah values (tawassut, tawazun, tasamuh) through the habituation of daily practices and teachers' role modeling effectively internalizes moderate attitudes. Students consistently demonstrate tolerance through respectful discussions, inclusive social interactions, empathy, the ability to accept criticism, and openness toward different groups. Therefore, the implementation of this program can serve as a strategic reference for other Islamic educational institutions in strengthening religious moderation and preventing the development of exclusive ideologies from an early age. This study underscores the importance of systematically cultivating moderation values to protect the younger generation from intolerance while reinforcing the foundation of social harmony within the school environment.
