Public space utilization may change according to time, activity, and user behavior. This study aimed to identify the activity and spatial use patterns of the Jalan Ahmad Yani Corridor in Pangkalpinang, particularly the development of informal social and economic activities during the evening. A qualitative approach was applied using place-centered behavior mapping. Data were collected through direct observation on weekdays and weekends during the morning, afternoon, evening, and night periods. The observed activities were analyzed descriptively and spatially to identify their distribution, intensity, and concentration along the corridor. The results show that activities are not evenly distributed and vary according to time. During the morning and afternoon, activities tend to follow the existing functions of buildings and routine corridor use. During the late afternoon and evening hours, activities appeared to be more concentrated at specific locations, particularly in the central section of the corridor. The spatial use pattern indicates that these locations are repeatedly used rather than randomly distributed. Supporting interviews with vendors and visitors indicate that established vending points tend to be maintained over time, while visitors tend to return to locations they already recognize. These findings indicate that Jalan Ahmad Yani Corridor has developed beyond its circulation function into a space for informal social and economic activities through repeated everyday use.
