<![CDATA[This research is motivated by the fact that some students have not mastered these basic competencies. According to the relevant mathematics teacher, this occurs because students tend to be silent and passive during the learning process. When they encounter difficulties, students do not ask questions or express their opinions to the teacher. This research aims to improve students' literacy achievement and enhance their contributions to learning algebra material in the 8th grade of Junior High School. This research uses the Classroom Action Research method based on Kemmis and McTaggart. The research procedure consists of action plans and research steps, with two cycles. The subjects were students in classes VIII-2 and VIII-4 during the odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year, with 25 and 32 students, respectively. This research was conducted at SMP Muhammadiyah 22 Setiabudi Pamulang, South Tangerang City. The research instruments included observation sheets and literacy achievement tests, along with learning tools such as RPP, LKPD, and teaching materials. The research results, based on applying the Numbered Head Together (NHT) Cooperative Learning Model to students' mathematical literacy achievements in class VIII-2 algebra material, fall within the score interval 40% < p ≤ 60%, categorized as quite good. Meanwhile, with the Cooperative Learning Model, Numbered Head Together (NHT) type, students' mathematical literacy achievements in class VIII-4 algebra material fall within the interval 80% < p ≤ 100%, categorized as very good.]]>
