The development of application-based transportation has increased public mobility, but has also given rise to problems in the form of high traffic sign violations by online motorcycle taxi drivers that have the potential to endanger the safety of road users. This study aims to analyze the legal regulations regarding traffic sign violations by online motorcycle taxi drivers based on positive law in Indonesia and examine the factors that influence the occurrence of violations and efforts to overcome them from the perspective of traffic law and restorative justice. The research method used is normative legal research with a statutory, conceptual, and analytical approach, using primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials. The results of the study indicate that legal regulations have been regulated in Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Traffic and Road Transportation and its implementing regulations, but the implementation has not been optimal. Violations are influenced by economic factors, application-based work systems, low legal awareness, weak law enforcement, and limited facilities. Mitigation efforts are carried out through strengthened law enforcement, traffic safety education, optimization of ETLE (Enterprise Transaction Processing System), improvements to app company policies, and the selective application of restorative justice for cases that meet legal requirements.
