This study aims to describe the impact of social discrimination in the novel Perempuan yang Menunggu di Lorong Menuju Laut by Dian Purnomo based on Georg Lukács's perspective of social realism. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method. The research data consist of words, phrases, sentences, and quotations that represent the impact of social discrimination in the novel. Data collection techniques include reading and note-taking, while data analysis involves data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results show that the impact of social discrimination includes class consciousness, ideology and normalization of injustice, and dehumanization. These three forms represent the imbalance of power, capitalist domination, and marginalization of the Sangihe community. This novel serves as a representation of social reality as well as a critique of capitalist practices and social injustice
