This study aims to analyze land suitability for mangrove ecosystem rehabilitation in Minangatoa Hamlet, Soppeng Riaja District, Barru Regency. The background of this study is based on the important role of mangrove ecosystems as coastal protection, coastal ecosystem buffers, habitats for various biota, and supports the lives of coastal communities. However, mangrove damage due to human activities and natural factors has resulted in a reduction in the ecological and economic functions of the area. Therefore, a land suitability study is needed as a basis for appropriate rehabilitation planning. The research method used includes field surveys to collect data on environmental parameters such as soil texture, salinity, soil pH, mangrove density, inundation depth, and tidal range. The data were then analyzed using the mangrove land suitability classification guidelines from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, with grouping into very suitable, suitable, conditionally suitable, and unsuitable classes. The results of the study of coastal morphology (substrate and slope) in Minangatoa Hamlet are suitable for mangrove rehabilitation, while the physical parameters of oceanography (currents, tides, salinity, temperature, waves) in Minangatoa Hamlet are categorized as suitable for mangrove rehabilitation.
