This study aims to examine the effect of workload and work stress on employee work motivation, with job satisfaction serving as an intervening variable among production employees at PT Bambang Djaja. This study employed a quantitative approach, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to 200 production employees. A saturated sampling technique was employed, whereby all members of the population were included as research respondents. Data were analyzed using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method with the assistance of SmartPLS 4 software. The analytical procedures included the evaluation of the measurement model (outer model), structural model (inner model), hypothesis testing, and intervening effect analysis. The findings indicate that workload has a significant effect on work motivation, while work stress also has a significant effect on work motivation. Furthermore, job satisfaction was found to partially mediate the effect of workload on work motivation and to partially mediate the effect of work stress on work motivation. These findings highlight the important role of job satisfaction as a mechanism linking workload and work stress to employees' work motivation. Therefore, effective management of workload and work stress, accompanied by efforts to enhance job satisfaction, is essential for maintaining and improving the work motivation of production employees at PT Bambang Djaja.
