<![CDATA[This study aims to examine the role of Majelis Taklim Al-Ibnu in improving the religious understanding of the community in Lembah Berkah Village, Medan Sunggal District. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analysed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings indicate that Majelis Taklim Al-Ibnu plays a significant role in enhancing the community’s religious understanding through various activities, including religious lectures, Yasin recitation, tahlil, collective prayers, and Qur’anic learning. These activities contribute not only to increasing participants’ religious knowledge but also to improving their Qur’an reading skills and strengthening social relationships among community members. The effectiveness of these activities is supported by the high enthusiasm of the community and the active involvement of religious teachers. However, several challenges remain, particularly the busy schedules of community members and population mobility, which affect their consistency in attending Majelis Taklim activities. Overall, Majelis Taklim Al-Ibnu serves as an important non-formal Islamic educational institution in strengthening religious knowledge, religious practices, and social cohesion within the community.]]>
