The 2024 simultaneous elections highlighted a shift toward candidate-centered politics, where electoral success relies on adaptive candidates' strategies. This study analyzes the political strategy typologies in the 2024 election through a qualitative-comparative study of novice, incumbent, and Regional Representative Council (DPD RI) candidates. Three prior empirical studies serve as the primary secondary data corpus: Aulia Ur Rahman (Pelalawan DPRD), Ais Bakri (Agam DPRD), and Dwi Ajeng Sekar Respaty (Riau Islands DPD RI). Data were re-analyzed using Schröder’s political strategy framework and Bourdieu’s capital theory. The results reveal three typologies: (1) Popularity Politics among novice candidates via offensive-digital strategies (2,032 votes); (2) Loyalty Politics among incumbents through defensive strategies capitalizing on social capital and pokir funds; and (3) Identity Representation Politics among DPD candidates integrating offensive-defensive strategies via political family networks (111,920 votes). Official election records confirm these vote tallies (KPU, 2024a; KPU, 2024b). This study concludes that political strategy variations stem from capital distribution and arena structures.
