Improper waste management, including open burning and dumping waste into rivers, remains an environmental issue in rural areas, including RT 7, Karangjoho Village. Based on interviews with the RT 7 head, most residents still dispose of waste directly into the river in front of Watu Lintang Field, while organic waste and twigs are commonly burned openly, producing thick smoke and incomplete combustion. This activity aimed to implement a Rocket Stove as an appropriate technology for more efficient and low-smoke household waste management while reducing the habit of dumping waste into the river. The activity consisted of observation and problem identification, interviews, planning and permitting, procurement of tools and materials, fabrication and installation, community outreach, combustion testing, and evaluation. The results showed that the Rocket Stove functioned effectively, producing more complete, rapid, and efficient combustion at high temperatures with less smoke than open burning. The stove measured 100–130 cm in length, 80–100 cm in width, with a combustion chamber approximately 100 cm high and a chimney 2–3 meters high. The community responded positively to its implementation. The activity concluded that the Rocket Stove is a practical appropriate technology for supporting village-level waste management, with its sustainability depending on proper maintenance and active community and Karang Taruna involvement.
