Good nutritional status plays a crucial role in growth and development, particularly during the "golden period" of the first five years of life. The objective of this activity was to enhance mothers' knowledge regarding the nutritional status of children under five, thereby helping to reduce the incidence of severe malnutrition and undernutrition. This community service initiative was conducted in conjunction with the Seruni 2 Integrated Health Post (Posyandu) in Poncol, Pekalongan City, and involved weighing children, providing counseling to parents and caregivers, and offering education on supplementary feeding. Twenty-five infants and young children participated in this community service program. Through education on balanced nutrition, mothers' knowledge regarding balanced nutrition for infants and young children improved, as did their understanding of nutrition and food management. The educational sessions—delivered via lectures supported by posters and leaflets—served as an instructional approach designed to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to make appropriate behavioral choices for improving their children's nutritional status.
