<![CDATA[This research is qualitative research. The purpose of this research is to determine the meaning of social criticism in the song “Seperti Rahim Ibu” by Efek Rumah Kaca using a linguistic approach, namely critical discourse analysis based on Teun A. Van Dijk's model, which includes analysis of text dimensions, social condition dimensions, and context dimensions. The techniques used in this study consist of four techniques, namely data collection, data analysis, presentation of results, and drawing conclusions. Data collection in this study was conducted using the observation and note-taking technique, followed by analysis of the obtained data using Teun A. Van Dijk's critical discourse analysis theory, then the results of the analysis were presented, and finally conclusions were drawn. The data in this study consists of the lyrics of the song “Seperti Rahim Ibu” while the data sources for this study are YouTube and Spotify. The results of this study indicate that the lyrics of the song “Seperti Rahim Ibu” performed by Efek Rumah Kaca contain profound criticism of injustice, social inequality, and various humanitarian issues in Indonesia.]]>
