Recording teacher attendance in schools is generally still done conventionally, such as using manual attendance books, which often causes various obstacles, including ineffective processes, errors in data recording, and the possibility of attendance manipulation. Advances in information technology provide a solution through the development of a web-based attendance system that utilizes geolocation technology to improve the accuracy and efficiency of teacher attendance data management. This study aims to design and develop a web-based teacher attendance system with geolocation implementation at Taman Siswa Middle School. The designed system uses GPS technology to verify teacher attendance locations according to the designated school area and is equipped with attendance time validation. The research methods applied include needs analysis, system design, implementation, and system testing. The main features available include user login, GPS location detection, taking photos as proof of attendance, attendance features, permission requests, and daily attendance status information. Through this study, it is hoped that the system developed can help schools improve the effectiveness of teacher attendance data management, accelerate the attendance recapitulation process, and reduce the possibility of fraud in attendance recording. Thus, the implementation of a geolocation-based attendance system is expected to support more modern, systematic, and accurate school administration.
