This study aims to understand how digital gaming trends affect the social and emotional development of elementary school students. The method used in this study is a desk research approach with a literature review approach from national and international journals published between 2021 and 2026. The findings of the study indicate that digital gaming can have both positive and negative impacts on children's social and emotional development. Positive impacts can be seen in increased communication skills, cooperation, and self-confidence, while negative impacts can be seen in decreased social interaction, emotional control, and the emergence of imitative behavior due to excessive use. Therefore, it is important for parents and teachers to monitor the use of digital games to ensure that it supports children's development in an optimal way.
