<![CDATA[The purpose of this study is to describe the difficulties experienced by 10th-grade students in statistics based on Newman’s procedure and to describe the factors that cause errors. This study used a qualitative approach. The research subjects consisted of 27 10th-grade students who were grouped using purposive sampling based on three ability categories. The results showed that the most common type of error among students was encoding errors in writing down the final for 81.48% of all errors. The factors contributing to these difficulties included a lack of understanding of statistical concepts, a lack of care in reading and understanding the questions, difficulty in determining the appropriate formula, a lack of precision in performing calculations, and a lack of familiarity with writing conclusions in accordance with the context of the question.]]>
