<![CDATA[This study aims to describe and analyze the use of picture media as an effort to improve the writing skills of third grade students at SD Negeri 2 Galala, Ambon City in Indonesian language learning. A descriptive qualitative approach was applied using a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model, carried out in two cycles. The study involved 22 third grade students consisting of 10 male and 12 female students. Each cycle covered four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data were gathered through student activity observation sheets, writing skills tests, interviews, and documentation. The findings showed consistent improvement: in the pre-cycle stage, completion only reached 45.45% (10 students passed, mean score 61.36); in Cycle I it increased to 68.18% (15 students passed, mean 71.82); and in Cycle II it increased significantly to 90.90% (20 students passed, mean 80.91), exceeding the 80% success indicator. These results confirm that the planned and structured use of picture media can significantly improve the writing skills of third grade elementary school students.]]>
