The community service program at SDN Lojajar 1 aims to enhance students' awareness of environmental issues and expand their knowledge and skills in waste management through experience-based learning. Based on initial observations, 13 out of 16 fifth-grade students had never participated in recycling activities at home or school and were unable to distinguish between organic and inorganic waste. The program was conducted over three sessions using interactive educational techniques, waste sorting activities, making pots from plastic bottles, and germination experiments. The results showed significant improvement, with the pre-test score for knowledge about waste types increasing from 51.0 by 82% to 93.0 on the post-test. Recycling skills improved from 49.7 to 92.6, and waste sorting skills increased from 50.8 to 94.5. This program also helped students develop an attitude of environmental stewardship.
