Teacher career development is a key factor in improving the quality of education in madrasahs; however, in practice, it has not yet been implemented optimally due to a lack of systematic planning and needs-based programs. This study aims to analyze the strategies employed by the madrasah principal in teacher career development at MI Sunan Kalijogo in Malang. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through interviews with the madrasah principal and analyzed descriptively to describe the strategies implemented. The results indicate that teacher career development is carried out through planning based on the Annual Work Plan, which aligns with the Strategic Plan and actively involves teachers. Program implementation occurs through internal and external activities such as workshops, training sessions, and participation in KKG and MGMP. The selection of training participants utilized supervision data and Teacher Performance Evaluations to ensure greater precision. Teacher motivation was enhanced through the provision of awards and additional assignments. The success of the strategies was supported by collaboration and budget allocation, although constraints such as time limitations, costs, and limited access to technology were addressed through resource optimization and online training. These strategies proved effective in enhancing teachers’ competencies and professionalism.
