Butterfly pea (Clitoria ternatea L.) is an herbal plant that contains bioactive compounds such as anthocyanins, flavonoids, and phenolic compounds, which have the potential to be used as ingredients in functional beverages. This community service activity aimed to improve the knowledge and skills of PKK women in Bogor Village, Cawas Subdistrict, Klaten Regency, in utilizing butterfly pea flowers to prepare relaxation tea. The activity was conducted on July 24–25, 2026, using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach that included the following stages: preparation, education, demonstration and hands-on practice, discussion and mentoring, and monitoring and evaluation. The tea was prepared using dried butterfly pea flowers combined with cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemongrass to produce a beverage with an appealing flavor and aroma. The results showed that the participants were able to follow the steps for making relaxation tea and demonstrated high enthusiasm during the educational sessions, hands-on practice, and discussions. The participants also expressed interest in preparing the tea independently at home and developing it into a product with potential economic value. Thus, the participatory approach involving education and hands-on practice supported the improvement of participants’ knowledge and skills in utilizing butterfly pea flowers as a local resource for functional beverage production.
