This study aims to describe the forms of violence against women and gender injustice in the short story “Bila Lelah” by Sasti Gotama through a literary feminism approach. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The data source of this study was the short story “Bila Lelah” published on Kompas.id in 2024. The research data consisted of narrative and dialogue quotations containing elements of violence against women, subordination, and other forms of gender injustice. Data collection techniques were carried out through reading and note-taking techniques, while data analysis was conducted through data collection, data reduction, data analysis, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the character Nin experienced various forms of gender injustice in the form of physical violence, psychological violence, and subordination in domestic life. Physical violence was shown through acts of strangulation and bruises experienced by Nin, while psychological violence was reflected through shouting and intimidation. In addition, subordination appeared in social demands requiring women to remain silent and hide their suffering in order to maintain family integrity. This study reveals that patriarchal culture is the main factor causing women to experience gender injustice in domestic life.
