Introduction: Multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) requires prolonged and complex treatment, which may pose challenges to patients in maintaining motivation and confidence in their ability to complete treatment. Family support may provide important psychosocial support during treatment. Objective: This study aimed to analyze the relationship between family support and motivation and self-efficacy among patients with MDR-TB at the Bina Asri Foundation, Pontianak. Methods: This quantitative study employed a cross-sectional design. A total of 33 patients with MDR-TB were selected using accidental sampling. Data were analyzed using Somers’ d correlation test with a significance level of α = 0.05. Results: Family support was significantly associated with motivation (p = 0.018; r = 0.263) and self-efficacy (p = 0.030; r = 0.281). Both relationships demonstrated moderate correlation strength. Conclusion: Family support was significantly associated with motivation and self-efficacy among patients with MDR-TB. Strengthening family involvement in patient support and treatment accompaniment may contribute to comprehensive MDR-TB care.
