<![CDATA[A construction project may experience delays that could result in the project being completed late; therefore, acceleration is needed to optimize time and estimate the resulting cost increases. One method that can be used to optimize duration and costs is the Time-Cost Trade-Off (TCTO) method. In this method, changes in the project’s completion time will also affect the costs incurred. For the construction project of the Budi Mulia Hospital inpatient building in Bitung, planning was carried out by adding overtime hours. This study aims to identify the most optimal scenario among three options: extending the work duration by 1 hour, 2 hours, and 3 hours. As can be seen from the table and graph above, I conclude that the scenario involving a 2-hour extension is the most optimal for this project because the difference in duration between the 2-hour extension and the normal schedule is 11 working days, with a total cost difference of Rp161,280,998; therefore, I choose the 2-hour extension. The reason I did not choose the 3-hour workday option is that, although the project would be completed 4 days earlier and the cost for the 3-hour extension is Rp147,607,753, when compared to the 2-hour extension, the duration difference is 4 days, but the cost increase is Rp13,673,244; therefore, I chose the scenario with a 2-hour extension (overtime).]]>
