This study aims to analyze the dynamics of learning problems in the acceleration program within modern Islamic boarding schools. The program is intended for academically gifted students, but its implementation in modern pesantren faces distinctive challenges due to the integration of the national curriculum, religious curriculum, and boarding school life. This research used a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving teachers, students, and pesantren administrators. The findings show that the learning problems include a heavy academic workload, difficulty adapting to a fast learning pace, limited differentiated instructional strategies, and psychosocial pressure caused by academic demands and boarding discipline. Nevertheless, the acceleration program also has the potential to improve academic achievement and foster student independence. These findings indicate that the success of acceleration programs in modern pesantren depends on adaptive instructional design, psycho-pedagogical support, and the integration of religious values into education.
