<![CDATA[The issue of LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) remains a subject of intense debate within Islamic law, particularly regarding the interpretation of Quranic verses related to sexual behavior. This article aims to analyze LGBT-related verses from the perspective of Islamic law, utilizing a qualitative approach through a textual analysis of Kitab Al-Mu'tamad Fi Ushul Fiqh by Abu Al Husain Al Bashri Al-Mu’tazili, a prominent figure in the Mu'tazilah tradition. The study focuses on the interpretation of verses related to homosexuality, the Quranic stance on such behavior, and how Kitab Al-Mu'tamad Fi Ushul Fiqh addresses this issue within the context of Islamic law. The findings indicate that, from the viewpoint of Kitab Al-Mu'tamad, LGBT behavior can be classified as af’al al qabih (immoral acts) under the category of al ma’siyah (acts detested by God). This conclusion is drawn from Quranic verses and Hadith that condemn LGBT behavior using terms such as musrifun (excessive), qoumun a’dun (a people who transgress), and qaumun tajhalun (an ignorant people). The Islamic legal perspective within Kitab Al-Mu'tamad emphasizes that LGBT conduct falls into the category of actions that contravene Islamic moral principles and legal doctrines.
