<![CDATA[Teaching Practice (PPL) is an essential field experience program designed to enhance the pedagogical, professional, social, and personal competencies of student teachers. This study aims to examine the impact of PPL activities on the improvement of teaching skills among student teachers assigned to SMK N 4 Merangin. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that PPL activities have a positive influence on the development of teaching skills, including the ability to design lesson plans, manage classrooms, implement varied instructional strategies, and improve communication and self-reflection skills. Furthermore, interactions with mentor teachers and the school environment strengthened the students’ understanding of practical teaching situations. In conclusion, PPL plays a significant role in preparing student teachers for professional teaching careers and enhancing their overall teaching competence.]]>
