This study aims to analyze the contribution of entrepreneurship learning and entrepreneurial motivation in fostering entrepreneurial interest among Economic Education students at Universitas Negeri Medan. The study employed a quantitative approach with an associative research design. The population consisted of all students who had completed the entrepreneurship course, with a total sample of 41 respondents. Using a total sampling technique, all members of the population were selected as the research sample. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The partial test results indicated that entrepreneurship learning had a positive relationship with entrepreneurial interest; however, its effect was not statistically significant. In contrast, entrepreneurial motivation was found to have a positive and significant contribution to enhancing students’ entrepreneurial interest, indicating that motivation exerts a stronger influence than entrepreneurship learning itself. Simultaneously, both independent variables were shown to have a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial interest. Nevertheless, entrepreneurship learning remains strategically important as a foundation for developing an entrepreneurial mindset and readiness. Therefore, it is essential to strengthen more practical and application-oriented entrepreneurship learning while simultaneously enhancing students’ entrepreneurial motivation. This effort is expected to encourage graduates not only to become job seekers but also to create employment opportunities through entrepreneurship.
