This study examines the effect of ball-based training on the cover drive batting ability of athletes from the UNP Cricket Club. The aim of the study is to determine the effect of ball-based training on the cover drive batting ability of athletes from the UNP Cricket Club. This is an experimental study. The research design employed a ‘One-Group Pre-test–Post-test’ design. The study was conducted at the UNP Padang cricket ground. The sample in this study consisted of eight athletes from the UNP Cricket Club. The research instruments comprised cover drive batting practice sessions before and after ball-based training. Data analysis was carried out using pre-test and post-test results. The results showed an average pre-test score of 13, whilst the post-test score was 17. Based on the findings, there was a significant effect of ball-based training on cover drive batting ability.
