<![CDATA[Hypertension is a non-communicable disease with the highest incidence and mortality rate in the world. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of health promotion in controlling hypertension in the elderly in the community. This research method uses a literature review, with data sources coming from Google Scholar, PubMed, and Garuda Portal. Articles were taken according to the inclusion criteria, namely quasi-experiment design, hypertensive elderly subjects, and full-text articles published in 2020-2025. Exclusion criteria included articles that did not meet the full research structure, review-based articles, or articles with content not relevant to the topic. From the search and selection results using the PRISMA framework, 20 relevant articles were obtained for analysis. The review results showed that health promotion was effective in reducing blood pressure, accompanied by significant statistical test results on systolic and diastolic pressure. This therapeutic effect is thought to be related to the ability of health promotion to provide relaxation, reduce anxiety, and stabilize hormones that affect blood pressure. This study recommends health promotion as a non-pharmacological approach to help manage hypertension in the elderly.]]>
