Abstract

Financial well-being is a crucial aspect determining the quality of life of older adults, particularly in the face of economic challenges, changing health conditions, and the increasing risk of digital fraud. Low financial literacy among older adults can lead to financial mismanagement, inappropriate investment decisions, and vulnerability to various forms of technology-based financial crime. This study aims to analyze the relationship between financial education, understanding of safe investments, and the ability to recognize digital fraud on the financial well-being of older adults. The method used was a quantitative approach with a survey design involving older adults as respondents. Data were collected through a questionnaire measuring the level of financial education, knowledge of safe investments, awareness of digital fraud, and financial well-being. Data analysis used descriptive and inferential statistics to identify relationships between variables. The results show that financial education has a positive influence on the financial well-being of older adults. Understanding safe investments helps older adults avoid high-risk investment decisions, while the ability to recognize digital fraud improves the protection of their financial assets. Statistical analysis using paired-sample t-test indicated significant improvements (p < 0.05). The novelty of this community service lies in integrating financial management education, safe investment literacy, and digital fraud prevention into a single educational model specifically designed for older adults. Practically, the program offers a replicable model for improving financial capability and digital resilience among elderly communities. These findings emphasize the importance of sustainable, needs-based financial education programs for older adults to improve financial management skills, strengthen investment security, and reduce the risk of losses due to digital fraud. This research contributes to the development of more inclusive financial literacy policies and programs to support the financial well-being of older adults in the digital era.
