<![CDATA[The problem of household waste in RT 21, Dukuh Tegalrejo, Karangpakel Village, Trucuk District, Klaten Regency is caused by low public awareness of waste segregation and the limited availability of waste management facilities. As a result, inorganic waste with economic value, such as plastic bottles and cups, has not been utilized optimally, and some residents still practice open burning of plastic waste. This community service program aimed to implement a community empowerment-based waste bank program to enhance environmental awareness among local residents. The implementation employed a community empowerment approach consisting of five stages: problem identification, participatory planning, program implementation, mentoring, and evaluation. The activities included socialization and education on waste segregation, the construction and installation of ten bamboo waste bins at strategic locations, the establishment of a waste bank management committee, and the handover and official inauguration of the program to the community. The results demonstrated an increase in residents' knowledge and participation in sorting and depositing inorganic waste into the waste bank, accompanied by greater awareness of the economic value of plastic waste. The program contributed to the development of more organized waste management practices within the community. However, its long-term sustainability requires continued commitment from the waste bank management, local residents, and the village government.]]>
