<![CDATA[Cimaung Village faces challenges in achieving sustainable household food self-sufficiency. Despite the existence of underutilized home garden potential and two strategic organizations, Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) and Women Farmers Group (KWT) there is a need to strengthen the synergy, technical capacity, and program management of these entities. Household food security is crucial, particularly amidst price fluctuations and limited access. Overall, this community service initiative aims to transform underutilized home gardens into productive food sources through collaboration between the PKK and KWT, following capacity-building efforts. The activities focus on institutional strengthening specifically enhancing managerial skills, program planning, and coordination among PKK and KWT members and between the two organizations as well as addressing technical implementation issues faced by the partners, such as limited planning capacity and the absence of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Technical challenges also include suboptimal land utilization and a lack of necessary facilities and infrastructure. Expected outcomes of this program include the establishment of formal SOPs agreed upon by the PKK, KWT, and Village Government covering the planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting mechanisms for the Integrated Home Garden Agriculture (PPT) program. Additionally, the initiative aims to improve self-evaluation scores (via pre- and post-tests) regarding the PKK and KWT administrators' understanding of program management and the importance of good governance, as well as to increase the percentage of households productively utilizing their home gardens and reporting self-sufficiency in vegetable and protein supplies.]]>
