This study aims to examine and describe various strategies implemented by school principals to improve teacher performance based on findings from published research. The study employs a literature review method by collecting and analyzing various scientific sources, including journal articles, books, and documents relevant to the research focus. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing to obtain a comprehensive understanding of principal strategies in enhancing teacher performance. The findings indicate that the most frequently implemented strategies include academic supervision, professional competency development through training and scholarly activities, work motivation enhancement, the implementation of participatory leadership, and the creation of a conducive school climate. These strategies have been proven to improve teachers’ professionalism, discipline, responsibility, and ability to plan, implement, and evaluate the learning process. The results also reveal that the success of improving teacher performance is strongly influenced by the principal’s ability to effectively carry out leadership, guidance, and educational resource management functions. The novelty of this study lies in its comprehensive synthesis of previous research on principal strategies for improving teacher performance.
