Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of understanding the relationship between population size and education quality in Sragen Regency in 2020–2024. Population growth that is not balanced by equitable access to education can affect the quality of human resources. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between population size and education quality, as measured by average years of schooling and literacy rates. The method used is a quantitative approach with secondary data from regional statistical publications. The analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and correlation tests. The results show a significant relationship between population size and education quality, where regions with larger populations show higher variations in education quality. In addition, population distribution and the availability of educational facilities also influence this condition. The conclusion of this study is that population size is related to education quality, but is influenced by other factors such as education access and regional policies. Therefore, demographic-based education planning is needed to improve equality in education quality
