Abstract

Angiosperms are well adapted to tropical climates and play an essential role in maintaining ecosystem balance. Magelang Regency, Indonesia, has favorable climatic and geographical conditions that support the growth and reproduction of angiosperm species, including those found in the Lembah Pinus tourism area. This study aimed to identify the diversity of angiosperm plants in the Lembah Pinus tourism area, Magelang Regency. The research was conducted from March 22 to April 19, 2025, using a purposive sampling method with three observation stations. The results identified 53 angiosperm species that were classified into two major groups, namely Dicots and Monocots. The species dominance index at all three observation stations was categorized as low, with an average Simpson's dominance index value of 0.1468. The average plant density across all observation plots was 2.5 individuals m². The Shannon-Wiener diversity index (H') was 3.3398, indicating a high level of species diversity. These findings provide baseline information on the diversity of angiosperm plants in the Lembah Pinus tourism area and may serve as a scientific reference for biodiversity conservation, future ecological studies, and the development of biology learning resources.
