<![CDATA[Waste management in Kedungwaringin Village is still Hindered by open dumping and burning, which have the potential to cause air pollution and negative impacts on health and the environment. This community service activity aims to establish more orderly waste management through the application of an effective technology in the form of a Rocket Stove, while also increasing the community’s understanding and awareness. Using a participatory approach, the student team from Pelita Bangsa University,s Community Service Program carried out a program consisting of five stages: observation and survey, education and outreach, implementation, mentoring and evaluation, and program sustainability. The results show that the construction of Rocket Stove, which includes the base components, combustion chamber, walls, and chimney, has been completed as a more effective alternative for waste processing. In addition, the community was also given an understanding of waste sorting techniques, the harmful effects of open burning, and procedures for using and maintaining the Rocket Stove. This program is expected to reduce the frequency of open waste burning while encouraging more orderly and sustainable waste management. To ensure the program’s sustainability, active community commitment is needed in maintaining the facility, strengthening sustainability education, and optimizing the role of the local waste bank.]]>
