This study aims to describe the learning interest and learning motivation of students of the Computer Science Study Program, Class of 2024, at Universitas Pancasakti Makassar in Calculus 2. This research employed a descriptive approach involving 35 students as research subjects. A saturated sampling technique was used because all members of the population were included as research subjects. Data were collected through questionnaires consisting of 15 statements measuring learning interest and 25 statements measuring learning motivation. The data were analyzed descriptively by calculating the percentage of students' responses for each indicator. The results showed that the highest percentage of learning interest was found in the indicator of interest in attending lectures, with a percentage of 85.71%, categorized as almost all students. The concentration indicator obtained a percentage of 60.00%, knowledge and understanding of Calculus 2 reached 54.28%, while awareness of independent learning obtained the lowest percentage of 31.42%. Regarding learning motivation, intrinsic motivation was relatively higher than extrinsic motivation. The highest intrinsic motivation indicator was learning frequency, with a percentage of 71.48%, followed by persistence in completing assignments at 65.71%, discipline in attending lectures at 60.00%, and independence in completing assignments at 54.29%. Meanwhile, the extrinsic motivation indicator, namely encouragement to learn and achieve, obtained a percentage of 48.57%. These findings indicate that students have relatively high interest in attending Calculus 2 lectures and relatively good intrinsic motivation. However, independent learning, independence in completing assignments, and external encouragement to learn and achieve still need to be strengthened.
