<![CDATA[Leak 2 (Jimat Dadong) is a horror film containing elements of Balinese culture rich in meaning, thus this research focuses on analyzing the meaning constructed through cultural representation displayed through visual elements in the film. Balinese culture-based horror films not only function as entertainment media, but also serve as a means to display cultural values and beliefs of its people. This research aims to describe and explain the denotative, connotative, and mythological meanings that represent Balinese culture in the film Leak 2 (Jimat Dadong). The method used is descriptive qualitative with Roland Barthes semiotic approach, where data was collected through observation, documentation, and literature review. The results show that there are five scenes depicting Balinese cultural beliefs, namely watangan matah, sesajen ritual leak penangkeb, jimat leak penangkeb, pengleakan, and ngelebur rerejahan. These five scenes represent the belief system of its people, which is closely related to mystical and magical elements that still live on in Balinese tradition to this day.]]>
