Abstract

Organizational excellence is inherently tied to human resource productivity, which emerges from a delicate interplay between psychological drive and technical mastery. However, an empirical gap remains concerning how work motivation serves as a buffer when technical proficiency reaches a plateau, particularly within the constrained environment of local distributors. In such settings, where limited staff must juggle multifaceted roles, individual performance becomes the linchpin of the entire production chain. This study empirically examines the influence of Work Motivation and Work Ability on Employee Productivity. Employing a quantitative design, data were gathered from 30 respondents using instruments with high internal consistency (Cronbach’s Alpha > 0.90). The relationships were analyzed through multiple linear regression. The findings demonstrate that Work Motivation and Work Ability simultaneously exert a significant impact on productivity ($F = 92.210; p < 0.05$). Partially, while both factors contribute positively, Work Ability emerged as the primary catalyst for productivity gains ($t = 7.686$). The Adjusted R Square of 0.863 confirms that the model accounts for 86.3% of the variance in productivity. These results suggest that technical competence remains the dominant driver of output in labor-limited contexts. Consequently, organizations must strategically integrate motivation management with rigorous capacity building to sustain peak performance.
