Abstract

The rapid growth of motorcycle ownership in Indonesia has created a substantial demand for maintenance and repair services, offering promising opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the automotive service sector. This study aims to develop a comprehensive business plan for Kacling Otomotif, a motorcycle workshop in Magelang, through customer satisfaction analysis, financial feasibility evaluation, and SWOT mapping. Primary data were collected from 108 respondents (55 existing customers and 53 general respondens). The survey results reveal high satisfaction in terms of reliability and responsiveness, while weaknesses remain in physical facilities and waiting room comfort. Financial analysis indicates positive Net Present Value (NPV) across all scenarios, with values of IDR 61.4 million (pessimistic), IDR 246.6 million (moderate), and IDR 431.8 million (optimistic). The Internal Rate of Return (IRR) exceeds prevailing bank interest rates, and the Payback Period (PP) is achieved within 11–24 months, confirming the business’s financial viability. SWOT analysis suggests that development strategies should emphasize digital service innovation, improved customer facilities, and the adoption of modern management practices. Overall, the study demonstrates that motorcycle workshop business planning in Indonesia is not only financially feasible but also holds sustainable growth prospects when supported by adaptive and innovative strategies.
