Current nutritional problems among adolescents indicate a tendency toward the double burden of malnutrition, characterized by the simultaneous occurrence of undernutrition and overnutrition within the same population. This study aimed to determine the relationship between sedentary lifestyle, snacking habits, and dietary patterns and the nutritional status of students at SMP Negeri 27 Makassar. The study employed a quantitative method with a cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 74 respondents selected using the Stratified Random Sampling technique, with data collected through questionnaires. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analyses with the Chi-Square test at a significance level of α = 0.05. The results showed that sedentary lifestyle (p = 0.009), snacking habits (p = 0.010), and dietary patterns (p = 0.009) were significantly associated with nutritional status. These findings indicate that these three factors need to be considered in efforts to maintain students' nutritional status. Schools are expected to conduct regular monitoring of students' nutritional status, provide education on healthy snack choices and balanced nutritional patterns, and encourage increased physical activity while limiting sedentary behavior within the school environment.
