Abstract : Corruption in Indonesia has caused substantial financial losses to the state and is classified as an extraordinary crime. Law No. 31 of 1999, as amended by Law No. 20 of 2001 concerning the Eradication of Corruption, places greater emphasis on the use of criminal law instruments. Consequently, the recovery of assets derived from corruption has not been carried out effectively. This study examines the concept, requirements, and legal basis for filing civil claims as a mechanism to recover assets obtained through corruption. The research employs a normative legal research method using statutory and conceptual approaches. Keywords : Asset Recovery, Corruption Offense, Civil Action, UNCAC
